What we do

The Anderson Foundation in Nelson and Marlborough

The Anderson Foundation has been set up by Dean Anderson in Nelson with the aim of improving the quality of life for Nelson and Marlborough locals who really need it. With a specific focus on advancing education and reducing poverty in the top of the South, we offer a range of scholarships and grants for locals.

We generally aim to help out the younger generation as they advance through school towards tertiary education, alongside those local kids who deserve a leg up. Whether it's sporting pursuits, theatrical endeavours or a unique opportunity that will benefit the greater community in the long run, we want to help out.

We'll consider any application. And whilst we're not a registered charitable trust just yet, being self funded we're still able to help out. So please get in touch if you're looking for assistance.

Our Programs

Fresher five hundred

Fresher five hundred

Fresher five hundred

University scholarships for Kiwi students in their first year of study. We offer a limited number of scholarships for students showing 'exceptional potential' or 'potentially missing out on the opportunity to study.'

Kiwi kids kick-on

Fresher five hundred

Fresher five hundred

One-off grants for kids who are representing their region at a national or international sporting or cultural event. We also offer assistance with local kids who need new sports equipment to compete locally.

We're a self funded charitable trust, but not a registered charitable trust yet. So we don't take donations from the public but we can still help out with our scholarships and grants for those in need.
